CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE Chinese herbal medicine is thousands of years old and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. Herbs are generally taken in a natural form as an infusion by boiling and then drank as tea, but some can be taken in powder form. They act internally on the physiology of the body to harmonise the energy (Qi) and blood. In the case of arthritis, for example, they can be warming or cooling, together with giving pain relief. Conditions treated successfully include skin diseases (i.e., eczema, acne, psoriasis) arthritis, menstrual problems, asthma, chronic fatigue and digestive problems. Jackie Arnold has been established for 8 years and has completed postgraduate training in China.
